About Imperial

Imperial Group, a business unit of Accuride Corporation (NYSE: ACW), is a leading supplier of truck body and chassis components, primarily to heavy- and medium-duty truck manufacturers, including bus manufacturers. Imperial fabricates a broad line of truck body and chassis parts, including bumpers, battery and tool boxes, crown assemblies, bus component and chassis assemblies, fuel tanks, roofs, fenders, and cross members. In addition, Imperial provides a variety of value-added services, such as chrome plating and polishing and the kitting and assembly of exhaust systems.

Imperial Group has facilities strategically located throughout the United States, providing resources for manufacturing processes and equipment to support various OEM commercial companies' needs. With more than 800 associates at six facilities, Imperial Group provides more than 15,000 individual components. Consistent with Imperial Group's focus on achieving the highest quality standard, our facilities are TS-16949 and ISO-14001 certified. Each plant actively maintains quality control methodologies required by vehicle manufacturers and OEM suppliers.

We develop, improve and manage our business performance by a system of key metrics using the QOS approach. We continually seek to be at the forefront of our industry in applying best practice manufacturing technologies to our operations. Our on-site plant managers have many years' experience in manufacturing and in the world-class technologies we promote.

Imperial's priorities follow a defined order. As we follow the order below, each item facilitates success in all the items that follow:

    First, we work to develop a safer and healthier workplace, so that all of our associates can remain on the job and be productively engaged in achieving success for the company and themselves.
  2. People
    Our next priority is to implement exceptional practices in hiring, training, retaining, and involving our associates. We strive for high attendance. We promote effective work flow and organization through 5S. People are the foundation of our company and everything we do.
  3. Quality
    We promote the build-in-station mentality for quality. We use disciplined, data-driven processes for problem-solving including 5-Why and 6 Sigma. We strive for standardized work. We use error proofing as a means of quality control.
  4. Responsiveness
    We stay attuned to our customers' requirements and our own internal capacity to meet them. We improve our responsiveness to customers through continual improvement in throughput, inventory reduction and the implementation of total productive maintenance. Our ultimate goal is to be on time every time.
  5. Cost
    We seek to eliminate waste in all elements of the organization through implementation of Lean technologies. Our goal is to become the highest quality, lowest cost producer in the market place.
